Pierced

We finally got Calleigh's ears pieced. I have been wanting to do it for a while but just never really made the effort. It was a spur of the moment thing when we were at the mall Christmas shopping. Nana finally pulled the trigger and we did it. I must include a disclosure that states: these are tears of joy you are seeing and not pain. She did cry but not for long. They have not bothered her at all though. She doesn't even touch them.

Jumping Party

I have wasted many a $6.50 at Jumping Party. Cameron has always refused to do anything. We have tried for family night and play dates. FINALLY, Cameron decided to participate and had an awesome time. By the end of our visit he was going on the biggest slides and jump houses all by himself. He is normally so timid. The funny thing is, I believe he did it because Calleigh did it. He can't let little sister beat him out. Girlfriend isn't scared of anything! I have a video of them playing and some pics of Calleigh and I going down the slide. My battery went dead so I didn't get pics of Cam. He was such a big boy though. I found out how hard it is to keep up with 2 kids today when they both want to do seperate things. I better stay in shape!

Fort Worth Turkey Trot

Joey and I got up Thanksgiving Day to participate in a 10K run. The weather was perfect for a run and we had a great time. Joey was not extremely happy about waking at 5:45 to participate but he got over it. We had a great run!

Bye Bye 801 Pebble Creek...

Well if you follow my blog you know that I haven't posted in a while. I have been crazy busy with packing! Thats right, we sold our house and are moving to Austin in the near future. I have alot to catch up on with the kids but I will be doing that next week. For now I am posting a picture of our house and saying goodbye. This will be a sad day for me because we have so many memories in this house and in Waco. But it is time to move on to a different chapter in our lives and we welcome it. I get you caught up on other events soon!

Texas Motor Speedway

Last weekend we took Cameron to his first NASCAR race. Apparently this NASCAR phase is not going away so I guess we gave in. He had so much fun. Chris and I also enjoyed it, I must say. We had really good seats right on the outside of the pit so we could see alot of action. The army helicopter pictured delivered the pace car right to the track. That was really neat. The pace car come rolling out ready to go. Kyle Busch is Cameron's favorite driver, but he ended up running out of gas 3 laps short of winning the race. Cam was sad, but glad that Kyle's brother Kurt won the race. Oh and he did nap about 10 or 15 laps into the race for about an hour! I can now say that he has slept through a NASCAR race and a home run at Atlanta's Turner Field. When he is tired, he is tired!

5 years

This last Saturday we celebrated our 5 year anniversary. We went to dinner at Houlihans in Arlington and went to Splitsville bowling alley and bar afterwards for some live music and drinks. It was a really neat place and we had fun. It was fun to talk about things that have happened in the last 5 years and how far we have come. I know we will still have so much to look forward too and that is comforting. It is not always perfect, sometimes kids, sickness, and life get in the way. But we do always manage to laugh and have fun. Happy Anniversary Chris, I look forward to many many more crazy years together! Love you!

Mother Daughter Night

This past Friday night mom and I went out with a group of women to dinner and a musical. We had some margaritas at Dos Gringos in Fort Worth and went to Menopause the musical. It was hilarious! I obviously cannot completely relate, but alot of it was just about being a women. Also, many of the symptoms were the same in pregnancy so I could relate to that. Mom and her friend Lucienda were invited on stage afterwards and I talked them into going. We had such a good time!

Halloween

The Friday before Halloween my friend Aubrey and I took our kids to a carnival held at the church we work at. They had so much fun. Cameron was Lightning McQueen's crew chief (big surprise) and Calleigh was a chicken. Cameron had so much fun playing the games and picking out candy. He was very selective about the candy he chose. He had a bag full of m&m's and suckers, that is all he likes! He would take 5 mins at every candy bag trying to find that perfect piece of candy. It was funny. Calleigh rode around in the stroller for a while. Once I let her down, however, I couldn't keep up. The only way I could get her back in was to give her a sucker. At this point, she had had enough of being a chicken so I took the outfit off. Chris and I took them trick or treating Saturday night which they also enjoyed. Cam and I went to the doors and Cal and Chris followed in the stroller. They are too peas in a pod, just so laid back and whatever goes. I didn't take my camera for that so I can't post. Cameron understood treat or treating about the 3rd house. The first couple he wouldn't say trick or treat, he said "please can I have candy?" so sweet!

Carla's Wedding

My cousin Carla got married a couple of weeks ago and Cameron was the ring bearer. I have more pictures from the rehearsal because, well, he actually participated in that. I found an angle that worked for him so he did good during the rehearsal. I put M&M's in his pocket and I told him everytime he wanted to stop, to eat an M&M. He was so funny! He was on a huge sugar high and he was just too much, but he did well. When it came to the wedding, however, he was so so cooperative. He only got an hour nap in and I had to wake him up to get ready, he did not wake up in a good mood and he just cried. He wouldn't walk down the aisle or anything. He did walk out down the aisle with my cousin Kelly. He did get in all the pictures, just not performance. I made sure he knew it was okay and he could do it next time. Poor kid!
