Our Weekend (pig tails, strollers, 10K's, and a sweet brother)

We had an awesome time this weekend. First of all, on Friday Calleigh was sporting pig tails. It was not extremely easy to find enough hair, but I did. She was too cute. My best friend Heather flew in Saturday morning and we got to spend the day together. We picked up my race packet for Sunday and I got fitted for new running shoes. I know I am a dork but that was really exciting for me. Papa put Calleigh's new stroller together because Mama just couldn't do it and Daddy was out of town. She loved it and she is getting good at walking behind it. Chris met us at Nana & Papa's on Saturday evening and we all went to dinner. I can't even remember the last time that happended. Cameron was excited because he got to stay up for the NASCAR race Saturday night, which his favorite driver, Kyle Busch, won. I TRIED to get in bed early but I couldn't. I was so excited for my race, again, I know I am a dork. Well I managed to sleep a few hours and we were up at 4:30 to get ready. My other great friend, Berni, pregnant and all, met us at 6:00 to go to the race. I finished my first 10K in 1 hour, 10 min, and 33 seconds. It was an amazing experience for me, and I have already picked out the next one and can't wait to register. I am looked forward to making my first half marathon maybe around December. After the long weekend, we were headed home on Monday and I looked in the back seat to find Cameron and Calleigh holding hands. She had just started to fuss and I noticed Cameron reach out his hand and she grabbed it. I grabbed my camera and took a picture while driving, crazy, I know. Enjoy the pics!

Girl's Night

Last night Aubrey, Kristen, and I went out for some much needed away time. All of us have 2 year olds so we don't get much time to ourselves. We went to dinner and to a place called Crickets for a few drinks. We ended up playing shuffle board, which apparently Aubrey is very good at. Kristen and I both tried to knock her off her high horse with no success. We had a good time anyway. We were all tired by midnight! We started the night by being adventurous and trying beers from different states. Crickets has a huge selection of beer from different states and countries. By the second HORRIBLE beer, we decided to opt for a chocolate cake with ice cream for 3! Needless to say we were home and in bed before the bar even closed! Fun times! (check out the hair!)

Getting There

One of the biggest challenges of this vacation was the 16 hour drive with a 6 year old, 3 year old, and a 10 month old. We did not do it all in one day, we stopped in Nashville and spent the night. We had a great time, though it was hard at times. Getting to see Joey for a few days was worth it though. We wish Chris could have come but he could not get out of work with such short notice. Enjoy the pics.
