Camera is back!

I finally got the camera back so I can keep you all updated. Calleigh is getting so big, she is just over 2 months now. She was 13 lbs. 4 oz. at her appointment and 23.5 inches long. She is a little big for her age but we are glad to see she is healthy. Cameron was always on the small side. She got her spot and we took it like a pro. She made one big scream and she was smiling minutes later. Cameron got his 2nd dose of the flu shot, and he was also a pro. (this is his 1st time getting one so they have to do it in 2 doses) He cried until he saw the sucker and he forgot he just got a shot. We are all getting ready for Christmas and glad that Chris' restaurant opening has been delayed so he is here for the season. We took the kids to get picks with Santa but Cameron did not like him. I had to sit in his lap with Cameron in my lap just to get a picture. He is not even looking and has a confused look on his face. Calleigh didn't care and went right to Santa. I couldn't get my printer to work or I would have scanned the picture in. Hope everyone is having a happy holiday! I will keep the pics coming as little miss continues to grow!

Sleeping Angels...

Before my 2 months doctor visit

After being offered a cookie, before dinner, this is the smile we got! Unbelievable!
!

Take One for the Christmas card, Cameron was not happy about this.

Of course we could not get her to look

Although I am not great at catching them with the camera yet, the smiles are very frequent now. I caught this one.

Calleigh fell aspleep on the way to meet Santa

Hmmm...what should I tell Santa I want??

Before we went to get the kids picture taken with Santa the weekend after Thanksgiving.

Cameron would not go on this swing at Nana and Papas for a while, but now it is all he wants to do.

Calleigh slept most of Thanksgiving Day so I managed to get only a couple of pictures. She just ate her Thanksgiving Day meal in this pic.

Mama and sister on Thanksgiving Day

I just had to take a picture because I couldn't get them to sit still for a normal picture. It actually turned out good!

Nana and Calleigh before pre thanksgiving day dinner. We tried several takes and couldn't get her to look.

Cameron decided wanted yogurt so instead of asking, he took it upon himself to get it. He went and got a spoon, opened the fridge, got the yogurt, opened it, and started eating before Chris walked around the corner. If you look close you can see he got it on the floor.

watching brother play, she is so facinated with him

No Camera!

Well, I always leave something behind when I visit my parents and this time it was the camera. I have pictures from thanksgiving and Calleigh's first smiles but I cannot post them. I will just have to update without pictures. Cameron is still amazing us everyday with the sentences he can put together. He is a little sponge and can remember way too much. He is still very sweet to Calleigh and loves to hug and talk to her. He calls her Calleigh pooh and little booger. It is too cute. Calleigh just started smiling this past week really good. She loves to be talked to and likes to make noices back. She still sleeps really well, so mama is happy. A couple of weeks ago she got her first cold from her brother. To make a long story short, it was NOT AT ALL easy to have a baby that young to be sick. She could bearly keep her food down and we ended up taking her to the hospital for an x-ray to make sure it was not in her lungs. After about a week, the longest of my life, she emerged a well and happy baby. She is congested again now but I am heading it off this time early. She will be 2 months on Friday and I can hardly believe how fast it has gone. Cameron grew up fast, but Calleigh is moving at rocket pace. For those of you who haven't met her yet, better hurry she will be walking soon! In lite of the recently passed Thanksgiving, I would like to take time to offer the things in my life I am thankful for.

1. I am first thankful for my husband. Without him, nothing that I have would be possible. He has given me my children, allowed me to stay home with them, and given me the opportunity to finish my college degree. I probably do not tell him enough that I am so thankful for the wonderful man he is. Oh, and he loves me even though I probably make it hard at times. Thanks Chris!

2. I am definately thankful for my family. I would not be the person I am today without them. They have given my every opportunity imaginable, though I did not capitalize on all of them. They have loved me unconditionally through the years and I don't tell them enough how much I appreciate that.

3. I am thankful for prayers, both answered and unanswered. I know the Lord has blessed me in many ways and he knows exactly what is best for me. I continue to have faith and I know he will continue to protect my family and I. I am thankful for that.

The rest of my list will be random things I am thankful for with all seriousness aside.

4. Coffee!! Need I say more?

5. The Disney Channel and the Noggin children's channel. Otherwise, my house would never be clean, and my laundry would never be done. Is that horrible?

6. A husband who cooks. I have gotten better, thanks to Rachael Ray, but I am far from great in the kitchen. Luckily, if Chris is home, it is rare that he does not cook.

7. Friends who make me laugh. You know who you are. I have some wonderful people that I can talk to about life in general. (okay that was a little serious, no more, I promise)

8. Cheese. This is my absolute favorite, it should be a food group. But you know what mamaw says if you eat too much cheese. Well, even though she says it is spanish I will not share it, but I think you probably have a pretty good idea. (Marie I know you are laughing)

9. DVR's or Tivo. Let me tell you, if you don't have it you should get it! I don't know what I did without it. Now tv fits into my schedule instead of the other way around.

10. And lastly, I am thankful for computers!!!! I love having information and friends at the tip of my fingers. If we didn't have them, you would not be reading this now...

Hope everyone had a great holiday and I hope you all realize how much we have to be thankful for!!

Happy Anniversary Chris & Crystal

Four years has gone by really fast! Those four years have brought many changes in our lives as we relocated to Waco and welcomed two beautiful children into the world. It has been a wonderful adventure so far and we look forward to many more years of excitement. I cannot imagine my life with anyone else and could not imagine being any happier. Chris is a wonderful husband and I wouldn't change anything about him. You know you have found your soulmate when your thoughts are the same and you finish each others sentences. I have been lucky to have found such a man and I cherish everyday of our lives together.

Halloween 2008

We took Cameron and Calleigh to a family Halloween event at Quik Trip Park in Grand Prairie. It was good for people with small children that do not want to be scared. They had games for the kids to play and lots of displays to look at. It was perfect for Cameron who was not really into Halloween this year. I took him shopping for a costume and he told me "no like it" to everything I picked out. He ended up being Tony Romo because we could actually get the uniform on him. He carried his helmet and football around all night. It was really cute. Calleigh hung out in her strolling sucking her pacifier. Fun night!

First Photo Session

I had the kids pictures taken together for the first time this past weekend. It was no walk in the park, but it could have been much worse. To my surprise, Calleigh was not the problem. Cameron did want to take pictures for any amount of bribing. We ended up getting some good pictures but we were worn out by the time we left. Calleigh is now 1 month and Cameron is 2 in these pictures.

We have made it through 3 weeks!

It has been almost 3 weeks with our family of four. I must say, I think the second time around is easier. This time we know what to expect and we are already used to having no time to ourselves, so there is not big surprise there. Cameron is adjusting well and he actually loves having her around. She is a very good baby so I am not pulling my hair out, yet. She sleeps good so I am well rested, which is the only thing that helps me through. Chris has been here alot more lately since his new store is doing well. Many of the pictures are of the kids in their pajamas since he haven't gotten out too much lately. Calleigh is also sleeping in most of them since that is pretty much all she does now. I typed most of this with one hand while nursing so please excuse mispelled words. (it is the only way I can find the time to do this)

she loves her swing!

even though she likes being wrapped like a burrito, those hands always make their way out,

just hanging out while mom gets ready

this is one of those times she was not happy about brother holding her

cameron has to help fix everyhing. he was helping daddy get the ball that was stuck in the ball popper. if he put the right balls in the ball popper they wouldn't get stuck, but he puts anything that will fit including his cars and we have to fix it!
