Well, I always leave something behind when I visit my parents and this time it was the camera. I have pictures from thanksgiving and Calleigh's first smiles but I cannot post them. I will just have to update without pictures. Cameron is still amazing us everyday with the sentences he can put together. He is a little sponge and can remember way too much. He is still very sweet to Calleigh and loves to hug and talk to her. He calls her Calleigh pooh and little booger. It is too cute. Calleigh just started smiling this past week really good. She loves to be talked to and likes to make noices back. She still sleeps really well, so mama is happy. A couple of weeks ago she got her first cold from her brother. To make a long story short, it was NOT AT ALL easy to have a baby that young to be sick. She could bearly keep her food down and we ended up taking her to the hospital for an x-ray to make sure it was not in her lungs. After about a week, the longest of my life, she emerged a well and happy baby. She is congested again now but I am heading it off this time early. She will be 2 months on Friday and I can hardly believe how fast it has gone. Cameron grew up fast, but Calleigh is moving at rocket pace. For those of you who haven't met her yet, better hurry she will be walking soon! In lite of the recently passed Thanksgiving, I would like to take time to offer the things in my life I am thankful for.
1. I am first thankful for my husband. Without him, nothing that I have would be possible. He has given me my children, allowed me to stay home with them, and given me the opportunity to finish my college degree. I probably do not tell him enough that I am so thankful for the wonderful man he is. Oh, and he loves me even though I probably make it hard at times. Thanks Chris!
2. I am definately thankful for my family. I would not be the person I am today without them. They have given my every opportunity imaginable, though I did not capitalize on all of them. They have loved me unconditionally through the years and I don't tell them enough how much I appreciate that.
3. I am thankful for prayers, both answered and unanswered. I know the Lord has blessed me in many ways and he knows exactly what is best for me. I continue to have faith and I know he will continue to protect my family and I. I am thankful for that.
The rest of my list will be random things I am thankful for with all seriousness aside.
4. Coffee!! Need I say more?
5. The Disney Channel and the Noggin children's channel. Otherwise, my house would never be clean, and my laundry would never be done. Is that horrible?
6. A husband who cooks. I have gotten better, thanks to Rachael Ray, but I am far from great in the kitchen. Luckily, if Chris is home, it is rare that he does not cook.
7. Friends who make me laugh. You know who you are. I have some wonderful people that I can talk to about life in general. (okay that was a little serious, no more, I promise)
8. Cheese. This is my absolute favorite, it should be a food group. But you know what mamaw says if you eat too much cheese. Well, even though she says it is spanish I will not share it, but I think you probably have a pretty good idea. (Marie I know you are laughing)
9. DVR's or Tivo. Let me tell you, if you don't have it you should get it! I don't know what I did without it. Now tv fits into my schedule instead of the other way around.
10. And lastly, I am thankful for computers!!!! I love having information and friends at the tip of my fingers. If we didn't have them, you would not be reading this now...
Hope everyone had a great holiday and I hope you all realize how much we have to be thankful for!!
