The Pokey Hokey (as Cam says)

Challenge Week One

Well I have decided to challenge myself. My friend Tanna is doing a 42 day challenge through her blog for girls that are tired of being unable to get to and maintain their ideal weights. Many of them are moms or just girls that are unable to motivate themselves to lose the weight and live healthy. There are 50 people involved in the challenge, many of whom have offered great motivation. The guidelines are no fried foods, limited sodas, no sweets, and you must excercise 3-6 times a week. Well, I am at the end of week one and I am off to a great start. I have done well with my food selections and have learned to better control my portions. (although I still have some work to do in this department) I eat pretty good, but I eat alot in one sitting. I have been able to start eating more meals a day, however, and not eat as much in one sitting. I had been working out at least a couple of times a week since about the end of January. This week I have worked out 4times and will make today 5. This has been really good for me since my biggest problem is accoutability for working out and not eating too much. I sometimes use the kids sometimes as an excuse for not having the "time" to exercise and eat right. I have been planning better and it has worked weel, hopefully it will become a lifestyle change. One last thing, I have already lost 3 lbs this week! Yea! Ok, enough about me. I added some pics of the kids, just random so you can see how much they are growing. Calleigh is getting close to 7 months and she is scooting all over the place. Cameron is learing so much from mom's day out it amazes me. We were talking about Jesus the other day and he told me, he is a good guy mom, that's what Miss Charlotte said. My heart melted, and I said yes he is baby. Miss Charlotte is his teacher at mom's day out. He takes it at First Baptist Church in Woodway and they teach them so much. I am so glad he is learning about this since our church doesn't offer classes until he is 3. We read bible stories but it nice to have it coming at him from different angles. Well, everyone have a great weekend I will post again soon!

Cameron just stared at the movies for a while and kept picking out the same ones.

That beautiful smile that we love so much!

What is this about?? I am not interested in holding this baby!

Cameron being silly. Don't know where he learned that.

Calleigh says I can exercise too mama!

Best Friends! At least until she starts to steal his toys.

Hangin Out

Easter Weekend

We had a little bit of an unconventional Easter this year. Since it was going to rain all day on Sunday we had our egg hunt on Saturday. Cameron and Savannah dyed eggs and had a blast hunting them. Calleigh slept through most of the action though she did make it out for some of the dying. Cameron and Savannah found the same amount of eggs. Cam did require a little bit of direction from time to time, but he did very well. He would find an egg and through it in this basket and run. Needless to say most of his eggs were cracked! I do have a video of him hunting eggs that you can watch if interested. We went to church on Sunday morning and it was so much fun loading everyone in the rain. We went to On the Border for our Sunday lunch. It was a great weekend. I wish we could have made it to Louisiana to spend it with our extending family, but maybe next year.

Cameron Update

I don't have as many pics of Cam in this post for a couple of reasons. First, I can't hold him down long enough, and second because you can't really take pictures of the things he has learned. He is getting so smart it is scary. He knows his ABC's and can count to ten. Sure he gets confused on some of the numbers, but he is getting close. He learns a new phrase everyday, mostly from me, and not always he best ones! Calleigh was fussing the other day and he said "Calleigh, you're killing me!" Yeah, that comes from me. When I pick him up from mom's day out or kids club at the guym he says "I'm so glad to see you mom!" If that doesn't make your day, nothing will. He is also doing so well in his big boy bed. He has taken us literally with not getting out of it. He won't even get out in the morning! He still calls us to come get him. When we get in there, he will go ahead and get out. He likes to sleep with so much stuff it is funny. He sleeps with his big Kyle Busch car, 3-5 books, puppy, some small cars, and his water cup. Sometimes I go get stuff out of this bed once he falls asleep so he won't roll over on it. He loves to watch the Rangers, NASCAR, and he really enjoyed March Madness. He would ask me every night, are we watching basketball tonight? Now I have to explain that basketball is over so we watch baseball. He sits on his catch and says little phrases like "you can do it" "get a hit" and "good pitch." So cute. Well, I will have more updates soon!

Daddy's Home!

Everybody loves when daddy gets back from out of town. I have learned that I will get to talk to him when the kids go to sleep so I don't even try anymore! They were playing on the floor so I started snapping pics. I actually got one good one where everyone was looking. Calleigh was laughing so hard but I kept missing it. Daddy created her own amusement ride and she loved it. Cameron was just jumping on everybody and that was plenty fun for him. It is so great to see them all playing together. I know I will have many more pics of them playing as the years pass.

Bath Time

I had been bathing Cal on a sponge in the big tub but it gets so hard to make sure it is clean and dry. I got this bathtub when Cameron was little but I never used it. I decided to try it out and I could not get her to sit still. She loves it can keeps moving all around, making bath time even more fun!

Calleigh Eating

I get so behind on posting so this happened a couple of weeks ago. This was the first time we put Calleigh in the high chair to eat instead of her bumbo chair, since she can sit up much better now. She is not happy when you are slow or stop feeding her. I have learned to be quick and ready to pick her up when it is gone. She is eating very well and I have yet to find a fruit or veggie that she does not like, though carrots seem to be the favorite. She was 16.8 lbs. and 27 inches long at her 6 month appointment. She has tailed off a bit in her weight since she is more active now. She is such a joy to be around that we have so much fun with her. Cameron likes to make her laugh, even though it doesn't take much. They are quite a pair!
